Revolutionizing learning for Caterpillar dealers

In heavy equipment manufacturing, Caterpillar Inc stands tall as the industry leader, however it faced a formidable internal challenge: the learning experience for Caterpillar’s dealer network lacked the personalization and engagement required to keep employees’ skillsets up in a rapidly evolving world. A strategic alliance with OpenSesame

In the quest for a solution that met the needs of a global network (with the necessary variety of language and topics), Caterpillar embarked on an ambitious journey to create a comprehensive and personalized training ecosystem. OpenSesame’s catalog and a new method of course delivery allowed the team to create a marketplace–hosting not only OpenSesame content, but internally-produced courses. Independent dealers now have the freedom to browse preselected content and build learning paths for any LMS they choose.
